I am to be received into the Holy Orthodox Church by the grace of God in the Sacraments of Baptism and Chrismation, on Sunday, the 19th of February.
I'm rather nervous, and yet overjoyed at the same time. I'll post more in the not-too-distant future when I've had a little more time for it to sink in.
Cheers and cartwheels! I followed you over here from Pontifications, and though it hasn't been mentioned there, I was chrismated into the Orthodox Church on Saturday morning before the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord (a date known here in the US as "Christmas Eve, 2005")

Hi Dilys, I was a Christmas convert on Christmas Eve in '77, so I do want to welcome and congratulate you as well as Michael. It's home all right, just as you say, and such a nice big home too. So many beautiful places to worship our Lord and God and Saviour, and such Christ-guided people to help us on the way. I can honestly say that in all these years, I've never looked back.

I am smiling broadly to let you all know that although I have nearly completed my allotted time of threescore years and ten, that I still have all my teeth.
